Humans are wired to detect patterns. Even when they are not real. Sometimes the patterns lead to meaningful discoveries, sometimes they lead to false conclusions. Although in all cases, patterns help us built structures, in music, art, literature, narrative structures, myths, they play a significant role in traditional and experimental [[Storytelling]], they facilitate learning by detecting meaning in chaos. This segue into the the benefits of pattern-seeking in [[Interdisciplinary Thinking]] process. This allows people to connect ideas across various fields which fosters innovation which is necessary to solve complex problems.
