This is not the place to inquire whether this was essentially a mistake; all I wish to underline is that Kant, like all philosophers, instead of envisaging the aesthetic problem from the point of view of the artist (the creator), considered art and the beautiful purely from that of the "spectator," and unconsciously introduced the "spectator" into the concept "beautiful."” ([Agamben, 1999, p. 3](zotero://select/library/items/JZG69SFF))
Kant introduces in 1790 the idea that the beautiful is not a subjective matter but a consensus. “That which, without a concept, is likely universally.” Meaning that you don’t need a concept or rule to find something beautiful. This generates a paradox. When you say something is beautiful, you expect others to agree even it is based on your subjective feeling. To solve this, Kant introduced again the “universal voice” so, you never say “I like it” you say “ Everyone likes it” A subjective feeling makes a universal claim..
> **Kant** said the beautiful is what gives us pleasure without interest.
> **Stendhal** said the beautiful is une promesse de bonheur.
> Nietzsche said the beautiful is what the creator creates as an expression of their expression power.
